Dr. Laws graduated in 1997 from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California.
He completed his residency in Family Practice Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Odessa, Texas.

When it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, here at the Family Care Clinic, we approach your disorder differently than the traditional treatment centers. ADHD effects every aspect of your life, not just school or work. We want to help regardless of whether you are an adult or a child, in grade school or grad school. We will work with you on an individual basis to help create a personalized approach to treat your symptoms. Together we can help you realize your full potential. We understand that everyone has a different learning style, which is why we will work with you individually to develop a strategy that works best for you.
Dr. Laws has been practicing medicine and specializing in ADD/ADHD for over 20 years. As a child he was told by parents and teachers that he was not trying hard enough, not applying himself, and just being lazy. It wasn’t until he was in Medical School that he was diagnosed with ADHD and he realized it was not about how hard he tried, but about how his brain worked. He says he remembers thinking once he was diagnosed, “Wow, I’m not an idiot!” Now he is passionate about helping others who have this disorder and bringing understanding to them and their families about how their brains work differently. By treating them and helping them use our methods of study skills, organizational skills, and time management, it makes their whole lives more balanced and brings them a better sense of self worth. It is truly life changing.
Because of his passion for treating ADD/ADHD and the great feed-back that has come from his patients, Dr. Laws and the Family Care Clinic have decided to open a new clinic in Arlington, TX, called “The Family Care Clinic for ADD/ADHD.” This new branch of the Family Care Clinic will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of ADD and ADHD and eventually other learning disorders.
Dr. Laws and his family moved to Ennis in 2004 and established a thriving medical practice. At the Family Care Clinic we understand the practice of medicine is service based. We are here for you, not the other way around. Family Care Clinic is family-owned and operated right here in Ennis, TX. Other companies may offer similar services, but we challenge you to find a friendlier and more caring staff.
